The Infinite Detail of This Place and Time

A series of collaborations with visual artist Bridget F. Quinn and AWE Society.

The Infinite Detail of this Place & Time is a site-specific improvisation project presented by Virago and Bridget F. Quinn of AWE Society.  Through contemplative craft, our audience generates assemblages that Bridget then projects using a microscope camera at an immersive scale. These projections, and Bridget's manipulations of them, serve as a score for an improvised sounds by Virago. 

This project has been presented by the University Musical Society and supported by ArtsEngine at the University of Michigan.

The A.W.E. Society (Area Wilds Exploration Society) is a platform for the experiential and collaborative eco-art projects of Bridget Quinn. A.W.E. Society events invite participants and collaborators to play within the borderlands between the city and nature, between the psyche and the environment. Realms that are not distinct, but instead are completely interwoven.
